Below are a list of any general questions you may have Q: Are your photos free to download?A: Some photos are free to download and some you can either buy as prints from one of my partners, or if you wish, you can download them by leaving a donation. (You can of course download them with the copyright in the middle of the photo, but that wouldn't look too professional.. Q: Why are some of your photos free and some of them not?A: The free photos are ones that I believe no one would have a need to buy, therefore they will always be free to download. I will keep adding photos to the free and paid sections as time progresses. Q: What made you decide to allow us to donate?A: It allows the user to have a digital copy of the photograph which then they can either print out themselves, use it as a wallpaper or upload it to a printing service such as Snapfish to have the photos printed professionally. Q: How much do I have to donate?A: I personally do not set up the amount, but the minimum needs to be 20p (pence) due to PayPal taking some of this. Q: How will I receive my photo if I make a donation?A: All you need to do is use the "Contact Me" page to tell me which photos you would like (you don't have to donate multiple times for each photo, don't worry!) you can find out the photo number by hovering your cursor over the thumbnail and looking in the bottom corner (it should say http://www.DanielPPhotography/images/gallery/album name/photo number.jpg) I will then E-Mail your selected photos to your E-Mail address that you used on PayPal. Anyone who thinks they can "hack the system" will be disappointed as only the free full sized photos are kept on this server. (lets be honest, we've all tried at some point to guess a URL) Q: How much is it to buy prints?A: The companies I use are independent, I have no control over the price so please check their price lists. Q: What will you use donations for?A: For every £10 I get I shall donate £2 to a charity. If you have any suggestions on which charities to donate to, please get in touch. Q: How long does a photo take to download? A: This is dependant on your connection speed. I have now uploaded the full resolution photos to the server (instead of the old watered down, full resolution photos) these range from 5MB to 8MB in size. Remember, downloading lots of files at peak times can make you go over your ISP's fair-use policy. Remember to also check your monthly bandwidth limit.Q: The website loads very slowly on my computer, why is this?Â
A: This website works best with a minimum of 4 Mb broadband. Sadly, unless you have fibre-optic services, you may be paying for up to 20 Mb broadband but only getting 2 Mb or less.
Q: Can I embed your photos onto my website/social networking profile?Â
A: Sorry, but it would be best if you download the photo and upload it elsewhere. The reason being is the photos range from 5MB to 8MB in size. If you was to link a 6MB file to your MySpace page background and then 100 people visit your profile, this would place a lot of strain on the server, not to mention take a chunk out of my bandwidth.
Q: Are there any plans for you to start offering shoots to the general public?
A: Yes, please check out the Events page
Q: Do you offer photo prints?
A: You can buy prints from the companies listed here, and you can also upload the photos to websites such as Snapfish - If your a Virgin Media customer, click here to find out how to get free photo prints using ‘Online Backup & Storage’
Q: I would like to order some prints, how do I remove the watermark?
A: Please contact me giving me a link to the photograph you would like without watermarks. All photos are archived on my personal computer and file server. If there is a photo you would like that is no longer on this site (but maybe on someone else's site) please send me a link to the image and I shall send you a copy from my archives.
Q: Who maintains your website?
A: This website is maintained by myself.
Event Questions
Below is a list of any questions you may have relating to the Events section Q: Are all your photos in the events section free to download?A: Yes, in fact at present I don't even watermark them (not including the thumbnail). This is because most of the events are my first time shooting photos at that particular type of event. Therefore, I don't plan to add watermarks to them until they are much better quality. Q: I noticed you take some photos of me but I don't see them on the website, why is this?A: Most of the time, it will simply be because I haven't gotten round to uploading them yet. However, did you know that only a small amount of all photos taken by photographers make it to the public? Most photographers will usually take 4 or more photos at the same time (this is very common with wedding photographers) in the hope that at least one photo will be usable. This is due to blurred photos, camera malfunctions and shutter lag. The slightest change in lighting conditions can make all the difference too (it's rather annoying when your about to take a photo and the sun appears from behind a cloud making the photo contain way too much light) Every photo I take of you might also not end up on the site, this is due to each photo ranging from 6MB in size to 9MB which would take a while to upload, not to mention, they would take up quite a large amount of hard drive space on the server that hosts this website. Q: I went through all your photos, but I couldn't find any of me. Why is this?A: Sadly, most events will have multiple shows/classes running at once, and sadly it's impossible to be in two places at once (unless you have a Time Machine made out of a DeLorean) Q: Do you offer photo prints?A: Sorry, I'm just a hobbyist photographer. If you wish to purchase prints, you can download the photos to a flash drive and then take them to a Kodak printing booth (Available in most Morrisons, ASDA and Boots stores) You can also upload the photo to a service such as Snapfish and pay to have them printed (Virgin Media customers can get free photo prints in their first year of contract, all you pay for is delivery) you can also check out the website Magic Freebies which sometimes offer free photo prints from various companies. Q: I downloaded a photo and it's slightly blurred, is this normal?A: I try to make sure I don't take any blurred photos and those that I do take are not uploaded to the site, sadly I use a 32" TV as my computer screen. Obviously, computers are only meant for 21" monitors, so it can be hard to tell if the photo is blurred or if it's just my TV. But hey, the photos are free and don't have a huge watermark in the middle of it, so they would still make great Facebook display pictures! :) Q: Why are there more pictures of some people than there are of others?A: Chances are, these are people I personally know and I'm taking more photos of them because of this. Other reasons might just be that they were in my field of vision for longer than others. Q: There are photos of other people that were in the same event as me, but why are there none of me?A: Whilst I try hard to make sure I get a photograph of everyone, sometimes it can prove to be difficult (I.E. If your horse riding, you might be too close to the horse in front which doesn't give the camera enough time to save the previous photo to the memory card). Other reasons might include people standing in the way, and even the weather (sun glare for instance) Q: Why am I not smiling?A: Sorry, but this is something I don't have control over. If your old enough to use this website, then you are probably too old to have squeaky toys "dancing" around in front of you (I'm pretty sure everyone remembers this from Nursery) Q: Why is my face not viewable?A: Did you know, that 90% of all photographs where the persons face is shown, usually ends up with at least one person in the photograph always having a grin or smirk on their face? There is of course the other one, where the person thinks "Oh, I don't want my picture taken, I'm gonna hide my face" and then they end up looking funnier than if they had of just stayed still and let the photo be taken? (not that I'm speaking from experience here, that would be a silly thing to do *whistles*) Therefore, I like to help save you from that embarrassment by trying to make sure I don't take a photo of you with an "awkward" facial expression.ÂLink Exchange Questions
Below is a list of questions relating to my link exchange program Q: What is a link exchange?A: A link exchange is when two people own a website and they want to link to eachother. This is refered to as a link exchange or sometimes as a reciprocal link. Q: Is a link exchange free?
A: Linking to this website is 100% free, I will never charge you for a link exchange. Q: Where do I need to put your link back? Some websites ask to be on my home page.A: I am happy to have a link put wherever you want it, providing it is readable. If you come across sites asking you to place a link to them on your home page, just move on and find someone else. A lot of these sites say they are high in Google's search results which is why they need a link on your home page. If you place a link to someone's site on your homepage, your PageRank ® won't increase as fast as what theirs does. Q: Do you have a website banner?A: Yes, these can be found on the Link Exchange page. Q: I have used your banner but sadly I do not have one, will this be a problem.A: No not at all, although it might be worth looking into making one in the near future. Their much easier to see opposed to text links, plus if they look eye-catching people are more likely to click on them. Q: What websites do you link to?A: I will link to any websites as I have different categories, this includes sites that aren't photography related. However, I will not link to any of the following sites. Download Websites (RapidShare, MediaFire etc)Torrent Websites (BT Junkie, The Pirate Bay etc)Adult Websites (For obvious reasons I can't list examples)Link Shortners (Such as bit.ly and tinyURL)or any other websites I deem unsafe. Q: Why don't you link to download sites? I have photography work on one of them, how can I get people to see it?A: Sadly, a lot of people use these services to distribute viruses, malware and other harmful content. You can start your very own website by using Tumblr or WordPress. Q: My website is changing it's domain name, what should I do?A: Nothing. I check websites often to make sure they are still working! If you have redirected your old domain to your new one, I shall remove the link to your old domain and insert one to your new domain.  Â

Below is a list of questions relating to contacting me. Q: How do I get in touch with you directly?A: You can contact me via the contact form which can be found here. Also, don't forget you can use the Social Links section to message me on various websites.ÂSocial Network Questions
Below is a list of questions relating to any Social Networking sites you might have encountered me on Q: I found your personal profile page, can I add you?A: I don't mind people adding my personal profiles as long as you let me know who you are. Q: I found a page claiming to belong to you, but it isn't listed on this site, is it really you?
A: The chances are that it is one of my pages, but I might not use it any longer. With websites, the more places you have your URL listed, the higher up the search results your page will be and the easier it will be for people to find you. A lot of web developers create multiple pages on Social Networking sites and other types of sites and then never use them. This allows the website users to find the site easier in search results. Q: Is it OK to add some of these pages that you haven't been on in ages?
A: Of course it is, I try to keep all my pages up to date. Those that I simply can't manage any more will usually be deleted to help avoid confusion!
